Welcome

This page hosts teaching ideas and articles about fieldwork. We would be delighted to publish articles highlighting good practice in fieldwork delivery. This might include question identification, risk assessments, measurement techniques and statistical analysis.

Advice on making the most of fieldwork or how to cope with making connections between methodology, results and conclusions would be welcome.

Whilst the focus may well be GCSE and A level (NEAs), it would be good to include articles on other aspects of fieldwork

  • fieldwork in the school grounds
  • fieldwork pre-GCSE
  • fieldwork options abroad
  • the role of fieldwork in geographical education and personal development
