Investigating microclimates in the school grounds

Introduction

This investigation has been designed and developed to incorporate Learning Outside the Classroom with Schemes of Learning. It is intended to introduce the principles and structures of GCSE fieldwork to KS3 students. The investigation can be conducted safely and conveniently in the school grounds.

The investigation was originally designed to occupy several weeks' study, enabling students to develop a deep understanding of the concepts of fieldwork from setting the research question to writing the evaluation.
