Welcome to the SW Geography Conference page.
In June 2022, the first SW Geography Conference took place, organised by Geography Southwest in association with the RGS-IBG and the University of the West of England Bristol. Over 70 teachers and presenters attended this event and it is intended to make this an annual event to support teachers of geography.
The 2023 SW Geography Conference was held at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol Monday 26 June 2023.
There are reports of both conferences below and links to several of the presentations.
The next SW Geography Conference will take place on Monday 17 June 2024. Please spread the word to colleagues and plan your escape from school for the day! Our aim is to promote geography and geographical education in the South West of England. Geography SW is a collaborative project driven by a group of enthusiastic geographers who have volunteered their time to create a wide-ranging and dynamic resource to support the wider geographical community.
