The Tarka Trail - Section 3: Bideford to Torrington

The most popular part of the Tarka Trail is the 31-mile section along disused railway lines between Braunton and Meeth, which breaks down conveniently into 4 separate sections.

This article focuses on the third section of the trail (6 miles), from Bideford to Torrington along the banks of the river Torridge, over a number of river bridges in the heart of Tarka country, and past some fascinating industrial archaeology.
