Coastal management at Milford on Sea

Introduction

Coastal management is a key topic at GCSE. Students are required to make a detailed case study of a stretch of coastline, to consider the issues and strategies of coastal management.

Geography Southwest has collaborated with BCP Council to generate GCSE and A level learning resources based on the Christchurch Bay coastline and the FCERM Strategy that is currently underway (Christchurch Bay and Harbour FCERM Strategy).

The GCSE resources focus on the coastline at Milford on Sea, at the eastern end of Christchurch Bay.

The materials comprise a colourful and engaging PowerPoint presentation together with an accompanying student worksheet.
