Oh no, it's the Gruffalo!

Introduction

The Gruffalo, written by Julia Donaldson with images by Axel Scheffler is a very popular book with young children.

In this set of ideas children are given the opportunity to investigate, with the help of the Gruffalo, their school grounds (irrespective of character), a local area of woodland or open space and tropical rainforests.

Outdoor learning is central to the ideas contained in this learning pathway. We must give children and young people, wherever possible the opportunity to ‘touch geography’. Failure to do so is selling them short!!
