A Walk Around Baggy Point, North Devon

Introduction

Baggy Point is located between Croyde Bay and Woolacombe Bay on the north Devon coast. This short circular walk along a stretch of the South West Coast Path provides wonderful views of the north Devon coastline, and on a clear day, the outline of Lundy Island. It provides an opportunity to study two glacial erratics, along with a classic wave cut platform, a raised beach, and head deposits. There is also some evidence of training activities by American troops from the Second World War.
