Educating our future environmentalists

Introduction

Mya-Rose Craig is a high profile teenage activist and ornithologist. She is a well-travelled and passionate environmentalist who has devoted her time to promoting environmental awareness particularly among young people.

At the age of 13 Mya-Rose wrote "I love birds and wildlife and care about conservation and the environment.  I believe we have to do everything we can to save the environment from damage and I want to try and persuade people about that."

In 2020 at the age of 18, Mya-Rose was awarded an honorary doctorate from Bristol University becoming the youngest person to achieve such an award.

Mya-Rose has created a Powerpoint presentation which she uses to support her talks to teachers and young people and we are delighted that she has agreed to share this with us. Download the Powerpoint below and consider using it to inspire your students to become our future environmentalists.
